While A.I. has numerous advantages, the high usage of electricity will substantially increase plant ventilation requirements.
A new chemical collection has been introduced to capture chemicals utilizing large CFM fans capable of capturing large quantities of C02. Similar systems exist for capturing sulfur from S02, in paper mills, nitrogen from styrene in FRP boat building plants, phosphates and sulfur in fertilizer phosphoric and sulfuric acid plants.
Additional EPA regulations are aimed at chemical Plants handling large quantities of benzene, ethylene dichloride, vinyl chloride, neoprene, ethylene oxide and chloroprene. These emissions reductions will affect over 200 chemical plants nationwide.
DECARBONIZING PROJECTS
We have learned that Constellium, a manufacturer of aluminum products, will deploy a zero carbon aluminum casting plant. Also, Kraft Heinz will be upgrading, electrifying, and decarbonizing food product at 10 facilities nationwide.
Cleveland-Cliffs Steel Corp., the largest flat-rolled-steel producer in America, will be retiring a blast furnace and installing two electric furnaces.
